Our window types

Nørre windows are key building elements in every building and play a decisive role in the lighting, ventilation and aesthetics of a room. They serve as architectural elements and have a significant influence on the comfort and energy efficiency of a building. All windows and doors can be made of wood and aluminium (with the exception of listed windows) or just wood in various shapes, sizes and opening options. In addition, various glazing bars and decorative bars as well as a wide range of glazing options are available - depending on requirements and taste - to give your project an individual character.

Our window models

Whether historic or modern, outward or inward opening, round or square, with or without glazing bars - we have the right window for your project.

The best: Our Nørre energy-saving window

We achieve a total Uw-value* of 0.59 with the Nørre top-hung window. This is not only slim in appearance, but also "slims down" the entire building envelope in renovation and new build projects without compromising on functionality and comfort.

Are you planning a new build? In combination with our Click-the-Brick facade, external walls to KfW40 standard with a total thickness of less than 30 centimetres are even possible.

*The specified Uw-value refers to the reference window with dimensions of 1230 x 1480 mm

Colours and glazes

We only use Remmers glazes for our windows, which include UV protection and are characterised by their long durability.

To achieve a particularly opaque effect, we use Sigma paints. You can choose from all the colours in the RAL colour chart and the NSC catalogue.

Questions and answers

This depends on many factors, but if, for example, I replace an old double-glazed PVC-U window with the NØRRE IV 90 energy-saving window, savings of up to 50 % are possible just by replacing the windows.

As a general rule, the better the Uw-value of the entire window, the greater the energy saving. However, the functionality of the window and the style of the house are also important.

The Building Energy Act stipulates a minimum Uw-value of 0.95. Windows with a lower value may only be installed in individual cases or in listed buildings. The rule of thumb is: the lower the Uw-value, the better the window.

The Bafa subsidises the replacement of windows. An authorised and certified energy consultant must submit an application for this. We will be happy to put you in touch with a suitable expert on request.

The best window is a timber-aluminium window, because it combines the advantages of a timber window with those of an aluminium window. On the inside, you have the cosy and homely look of wood and on the outside, a robust and weather-resistant aluminium shell protects your window.
